Contextual NotesIn 1888, Charles D. (C.D.) and Harriet Stimson built the original Stimson mansion at 128 Aloha St. on Queen Anne Hill. Solomon (Sol) and Eva Rogers purchased the home from the Stimsons around 1900 when the Stimson family moved to their custom-built mansion on First Hill (later known as the Stimson-Green Mansion). The Rogers family lived in the Queen Anne home until the death of Eva Rogers in January 1961. Gold embossed wallpaper and other original materials were salvaged from the home prior to its demolition several months later.
