World War I parade in Chicago, ca.1918 or 1919
World War I parade in Chicago, ca.1918 or 1919
TitleWorld War I parade in Chicago, ca.1918 or 1919
PhotographerUnknown
Date1918 or 1919
NotesProbably the victory parade featuring General Pershing, which ran up Pennsylvania Avenue from the Peace monument near the Capitol to Nineteenth Street. Several Rind family members served in the War and may have been in Chicago for the parade. Bertha Rind Livingson grew up in Chicago, as did Felix and Bertha Stastny, and it's possible that some of these relatives were there for the parade.
