| Notes | Vaad Hahatzala was an Orthodox Jewish relief organization established by the Union of Orthodox Rabbis of the United States and Canada in 1939 initially to provide funds for rabbis and religious students in war-torn Europe and to work for their emigration. After World War II, the organization provided spiritual rehabilitation to concentration camp survivors and arranged for visas for refugee rabbis and religious students to the United States. Rabbi Solomon Wohlgelernter of Bikur Cholim in Seattle served as a delegate.
