| Photographer | Unknown |
| Date | 1906 |
| Notes | Brothers Samuel (Sam) and Henry Kleinberg were Ellensburg hay merchants and the first to ship Kittitas Valley hay to the Puget Sound area. Kleinberg Brothers became the dominant hay business in the region. Samuel opened a Seattle office in 1898, and Henry eventually moved his family to Seattle in 1918. Only two Jewish families lived in Ellensburg up to this time: Henry Kleinberg's family and the family of Samuel Kreidel, Ellensburg's mayor in 1915.
Note from donor file: Selig S. (Sam) Kleinberg, first Kleinberg in Washington - in Ellensburg in 1873, in Seattle in 1899, died 1908; brother of Henry, photo taken 1906
