Note from donor file: ca. 1933; Italian-appointed Governor Lago's visit to the Rabbinical College at Rodi; at far right (man with beard), Dr. Goan (MD), officer of the school, and on the committee of the Jewish Community; at the left (bald man), Joe Menoshe, also on school committee. Students from Rabbinical College fascist to Governor Lago. Talking to Menoshe is Lago's secretary; see also Italian carbinieri police. Although Rabbi Kahan is not in this photograph, he was the rabbinical director of the school, 1932-1933.
