NotesRabbi Baruch Shapiro was spiritual leader of Herzl Congregation from 1923 to 1929. Soon after, he was a founder of Congregation Machzikay Hadath. His wife, Hinda Gershonovich Shapiro, was known as the Rebbitzen (rabbi's wife).
