| Notes | Note filed with photograph: D-2 Amendments Discussed--Senators Ted Stevens, Paul Tsongas, and Henry Jackson discuss the amendments that may be offered during the Senate debate of the Alaska lands bill, now scheduled to begin July 21st. Under a time agreement reached earlier this year, Senator Tsongas may offer five amendments, while Jackson, Stevens and Mike Gravel may offer three each. Last week Stevens and Tsongas exchanged their amendments while Senator Jackson reaffirmed his intention to get the Senate Energy Committee bill passed by the Senate without amendments. |
