In the rotunda of the Nation's Capitol, Abraham Lincoln's statue looks sorrowfully at the dilemma being met more cheerfully by Senator Henry Jackson (left) and Congressman Thor C. Tollefson (right) as they discuss with Paul Sceva, of Tacoma, President of the Rainier National Park Company, future plans for the Park. The dilemma comes from Mission 66, a plan designed by Conrad Wirth, Director of the National Park Service, which includes the removal of overnight facilities within the Park. This has aroused a storm of protest from citizens in the State of Washington. |
