Jackson (D-Wash.), and Tom Pickett, executive vice president of the National Coal Association, meet informally before the start of hearings in a bill relating to the proposed atom-generated electric power program. A few minutes later Mr. Pickett was presenting the bituminous coal industry's case, with Senator Jackson presiding as the Committee Chairman. The coal spokesman once served in the House as a Representative from Texas when Senator Jackson was a colleague.
