CaptionOld and new Northern Pacific Railway and Milwaukee railroad tracks and construction at Kanaskat. During this period adjustments were being made because of Howard Hanson Dam construction at Eagle Gorge.

The Milwaukee Railroad trestle is the lower of the two overpasses, and was later replaced with a fill. The upper trestlework is the new Northern Pacific line under construction. Wooden piling was later replaced with concrete piers.
This location (in year 2002) is approximately the west end of the steel span over the Green River, where the lower area is grown over with high trees and brush.
