| Caption | Marie Scholtens is outside the store in her 'Beach Pajamas.' Location: Northeast 195th Street and 15th Avenue Northeast. The store was owned by Marie's parents, Scholt and Albertje (Si and Alice), Dutch immigrants who built the store in 1928. The store became Pioneer Grocery after they sold it.
