CaptionThis photo shows the teaching staff of Columbia School about 1904-1905. Their names are not listed. Columbia School drew students from about five miles north and south of the town of Columbia City. The Rainier Valley streetcar line furnished the transportation. The school was built, along with the city hall, partly with volunteer labor, right after the town was founded in 1891. The town incorporated in 1893 and grew rapidly until 1907 when they were annexed by the city of Seattle. Columbia City is now a Landmark District in southeast Seattle.
NotesHandwritten on mount: Teaching Staff Columbia School about 1904-1905.
