The
Mills
cottage
was
located
on the
shores
of
Lake
Washington
at
42nd
and
Andover
Street.
When
the
lake
was
lowered
in
1917
to
build
the
ship
canal
and
locks
in
Ballard
the
homes
were
no
longer
on the
waterfront.
Today
the
home
faces
Genesee
Park
and
is
adjacent
to the
Stan
Sayres
Hydroplane
Pits.
