NotesThe floating house boat and dock moored where the Black River emerged from Lake Washington. Ms. Burrows often served sportsmen a 'home cooked' meal. The resort was considered one of the finest in the county for fishing and hunting. 1898 or 1902 [Renton Historical Society note].

Handwritten on verso: Captain Burrows boat house, launch of the 'Enola.' Burrows owned the first steam tug on the south end of Lake Washington. The steamer 'Reef' towed logs from Lake Sammamish through Lake Washington to Puget Sound.

Renton Historical Society has a 35 mm negative of the original print on file.
