| Notes | First downtown grade school, built in 1871 at 3rd and Main. The school originally housed 12 pupils; by 1876 there were 82 pupils. [Renton Historical Society note].
The school was replaced by a larger school in 1876 [source of note: Morda C. Slauson. Renton: From Coal to Jets].
