Henry Ford grade school replaced Central School in 1922 [source of note: Morda C. Slauson. Renton: From Coal to Jets]

Renton's 1922 school was named Henry Ford School with the hope that Ford would finance its construction, which did not happen (source of note: Renton: the first 100 years, 1901-2001, produced by the Boeing Company, Renton Reporter and City of Renton).
