He
opened
the
bar
around
1937.
He had
many
Long
Acres
race
track
customers.
The
bar
saw
many
servicemen
during
the
war
years.
Dad
claimed
the
most
difficult
part
of his
job
was a
'drunk.'
In those
years
having
a
'bar'
in the
family
was not
conducive
to
popularity
in
school.
Bar
first
opened
on
1st
Ave.
then
moved
to
Main
St.
Signs
inside
tavern
in
image
