CaptionThis photo shows Great Northern Railway steam locomotive #658 heading a passenger local. This 10-wheeler passenger locomotive was typical of those used throughout the Great Northern system, including in King County. It was built by Brooks Locomotive Works in 1893 with large 73-inch diameter drivers for higher speeds.
