| Title | Men standing in a carrier at the Mud Mountain dam project camp, 1938 |
| Photographer | Staff Photographer Seattle Post-Intelligencer |
| Date | 1938 |
| Caption | A man, probably an engineer or project manager, is pointing out an area to men dressed in suits at the Mud Mountain dam site seven miles southeast of Enumclaw, Washington. They are standing in a highline carrier for an elevated view. The camp was built in 1937 prior to construction of the dam. When it was completed in 1948, the Mud Mountain Dam was the highest rock-and-earth-filled dam in the world. The dam was built on the White River to prevent massive flooding in South King County and North Pierce County. |
