CaptionIn a wood paneled meeting room, three men dressed in suits view a large artist's rendition of the Space Needle and Monorail. Shown from left are: Edward E. Carlson, chair of the World's Fair State Commission, James B. Douglas, Vice President for Site and Building Development and John Graham, Jr., Space Needle architect. Groundbreaking for construction of the Space Needle began in April 1961 and was completed in December.
