| Caption | During its opening week, the New Orpheum Theatre featured music on its Wurlitzer organ, Rod LaRocque in the movie "The Fighting Eagle, " and a staging of Aesop's Fables. Next came Carl and Jule Luster ("America's Representative Athletes--Routines Explained"), two singers, and Ned Wayburn's Buds of 1927 ("The Smartest Act in Vaudeville"). The most expensive seats for this program cost 75 cents. This photo, taken in August 1927, shows the stage of the New Orpheum Theatre during its opening week. |
