| Caption | In 1957, Clayton Young was hired to serve as the coordinating architect for the development of Seattle's civic center and world's fair. Young orchestrated the transformation of the site from city neighborhood to Seattle World's Fair grounds to the Seattle Center. Young continued his connection with Seattle Center in many roles over several decades, among them on the board and as President of the Seattle Center Foundation. |
