CaptionA fire destroyed the rented Lake Forest Park home of the Frank McPhilips family on the afternoon of January 26th, 1963. The home was located in the 18300 block of 47th Avenue Northeast. The fire was caused by the use of flammable cleaning supplies. Mr. and Mrs. McPhilips escaped with their eight year old daughter. A Kenmore volunteer fire captain was transported to Northwest Memorial Hospital after fighting the blaze, and later died.
