CaptionEleanor Holm, Georgia Coleman, Jane Fauntz, Agnes Geraghty, and Helene Madison were all members of the U.S. Olympic swim team. This photo was possibly taken at Olympic tryouts, as the women are wearing the swimsuits of their local teams. All but Geraghty participated in the 1932 Olympics in Los Angeles. Seattle swim champ Helene Madison, at right, swam for the Washington Athletic club under coach Ray Daughters.
