| Caption | Seattle's Magnolia School opened in a portable school building in September 1922. Until the 1927-28 school year, it was run by the principal of the Interbay School. The school's first permanent building opened in 1931.
In this February 1942 photo, fourth grade students at Magnolia School write on the blackboard. The photo may have been taken as part of a campaign urging voters to pass a school levy. |
