| Caption | In 1919, Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart opened on Interlaken Boulevard in Seattle. At the end of October 1949, a Seattle Post-Intelligencer photographer visited a kindergarten class at Forest Ridge as the students celebrated Halloween. The children dressed in costume, lit pumpkins and listened as their teacher, Mrs. Sherwood, read them stories. |
