CaptionThis view looking north shows the 42-story L. C. Smith Building (Smith Tower) rising above Seattle. Named for its original owner, Lyman Cornelius Smith of Smith Corona typewriter fame, it was the tallest building in Seattle from 1914 until the SeaFirst Building was constructed in 1968.
