| Caption | The Maynard Hospital, named in honor of Seattle's first doctor, David S. Maynard, opened on March 14, 1933 on the premises of the Martha Washington Hospital at 1309 Summit Avenue. It was directed by a group of five doctors and had a reputation as a small but high quality facility. Maynard Hospital closed its doors in 1971. |
