| Caption | On July 26, 1947, Kent held its second annual Cornucopia Festival to raise money for a war memorial gymnasium. Festival events included a parade through the downtown area, a carnival, and other activities. Teamsters Local 910 provided a wagon pulled by two draft horses to carry the festival's queen. In this photo, the crowd watches as the queen and her attendants ride by. |
