CaptionThe original Bob's Place opened in the 1920s and was operated by Swiss chef Bob Steiger. The popular restaurant was later sold to Charlie and Hazel Gaugle and then owned by the Charles Sarvis family. In 1945, this new building opened, featuring indoor and outdoor seating. The menu offered fried spring chicken and grilled steak, a large bowl of green salad, and homemade lemon meringue pie. Bob' Place closed in 1975 and is now the site of Mia Roma Italian restaurant.
