| Caption | The Metropolitan Theatre opened October 2, 1911 on University Street, between 4th and 5th Avenues. The building, designed by A.H. Albertson of Seattle, blended with the nearby White and Henry Buildings in the University Tract. The Metropolitan was demolished in 1956 and its site is now the entrance driveway to the Olympic Hotel. |
