| Title | Aurora Bridge, Seattle, July 21, 1939 |
| Photographer | Laidlaw, Charles |
| Date | 1939 |
| Caption | Seattle's George Washington Memorial Bridge was dedicated on February 22, 1932, on the bicentennial of the first president's birth. Most people call this the Aurora Bridge, because Aurora Avenue crosses it. When this high bridge was completed, car traffic no longer had to wait while low bridges opened for boats traveling through the canal. |
