| Caption | F.A. McDonald School opened in 1914 with only the younger grades, and became a K-8th grade school with several hundred students by the 1920s. In 1945, when this photo was taken, McDonald had an enrollment of 450. The occasion for which the children are forming circles and holding hands in the school yard is not recorded. |
