CommentsThe cremation of the Katy marked the end of a chapter that started after the Civil War and lasted until the Seattle Centennial. She most likely was the oldest active tug in the United States, launched at SFO in 1868. She came to Puget Sound in 1885 [Puget Sound Maritime Historical Society Note].
