matsu
and
is
from
Karasaki
in
Omi
Town
on the
coast
of the
Sea
of
Japan
, in
central
Honshu.
It
is
said
that this
particular
pine
tree
grew
from a
seed
that the
13th
lord
of
Kaga
clan
obtained
from
Karasaki.
