They were the sons of Bernie Brotman, who founded the Bernie's chain in the 1950s, the first specialty apparel stores for young men in the Northwest. Jeff and Michael Brotman later opened the Jeffrey Michael chain, and Jeff later was a co-founder of Costco. |
