General NotesPrinting specimen taken from Brown, George M.L. Specimens of woodcuts and engravings; a portfolio of original leaves taken from rare and notable illustrated books. New York, The Foliophiles, 1926.

Engraved by the Venetian Odoardo Fialetti who was a pupil of Cremonini, the decorative artist, and influenced by the artist Tintoretto. The technique is suggestive of etching, the figure standing out in simple relief against a background devoid of angels, devils, nymphs, satyrs and other symbols.
