This plate comes from Garten der Gesundheit, a re-print by Conrad Dinckmut of the original 1485 version printed by Peter Schoffer. The image is labeled "Bertram" and the page marks chapter 308.

Many of the illustrations in this item come from the 1486 version printed by Johann Gruninger of Strasbourg. Chapters 37, 50, and 142-44 contain illustrations not present in Peter Schoffer's original edition.

This is leaf number 7 from the modern collection entitled: Herbals of five centuries; 50 original leaves from German, French, Dutch, English, Italian, and Swiss herbals; with an introduction ond bibliography by Claus Nissen. Zurich: L'Art Ancien, Olten, Weiss-Hesse [etc.], 1958.
