NotesConstruction photographs of the Copper River and Northwestern Railway along the Copper River from 1906-1911. The techniques developed by Erastus Hawkins for setting the foundations and steel work for the bridge became standards for future Arctic construction and have been studied by other engineers assigned to major Arctic engineering projects. The bridge was completed in the summer of 1910.
