NotesCaption included with image: "MARCUS MOVES" -- The old home of Mrs. Sarah A. Nagel, a Marcus resident for 33 years, will soon be moved to higher ground. Miss Celestine Nagel seen reading to her Mother. The steady rising waters of the Columbia, backed by Coulee Dam will cover the site that was Marcus, and form a lake about three miles wide. WPA workers have cleared the area of all trees, and remaining buildings will be demolished and burned to prevent debris from floating into the dam.
