| Title | Morse Canning Company exterior and boats, including Pearl, moored nearby on the Dickey River, Mora, date unknown |
| Photographer | Taylor, Fannie E. |
| Date | n.d. |
| Notes | Samuel Gay Morse and his wife Susan Draper Morse... purchased the Kinney Cannery on the Dickey on February 13, 1912 [Wray, Jacilee, "Fannie Taylor, Postmistress, Mora, Wash:" online exhibit for the Community Museum Project].
On sides of boats in image: //br//...EAR... Seattle.
Handwritten on negative: 609T. FTM 1359.
Morse Cannery (602-609 sleeve "Old Cannery") [note taken from inventory of unknown origin filed with image at Forks Timber Museum].
Appears to be similar to #601-T--different angle of cannery building [note from "Taylor Photographic Collection:" an inventory of Fanny Taylor images, probably prepared for the Sequim Museum and Arts Center and filed with the image at Forks Timber Museum].
Comparison to Fannie Taylor image number 643 suggests that the boat second from the right is Pearl, whereas Rhododendron and Skagit cannot be identified [cataloger's note]. |
