| Notes | Tacoma Tribune article from August 15, 1915 states that this is the 'first world's championship race on a board track' when '14 of the best motorcycle riders in the world will start away on a 300-mile grind for prizes aggregating $1000…As this is the first real championship motorcycle race ever held in Tacoma, every effort is being made to promote a successful venture…With such men as E.A. Berreth, Otto Walker, Ray Creviston, Ed [sic] Armstrong, Don Johns and the rest of the fast crew, the chances for a hair-raising, blood-curdling 300 miles is widely presaged. The Indian, Harley-Davidson, Excelsior, and Flying Merkel cycles are shown to be the fastest in existence…'
