Paul Nordby (pnordby@u.washington.edu), University Advancement, Gift Processing, wrote: From John Scott Rohrer to Scott Graham, both SYC members: Dr. Phil Smith did a couple of films in the Fifties with his buddy Charles Stipp...One of their works documented the straightaway speed record assault by Slo-Mo-Shun IV. That film runs in a continuous loop alongside the boat at MOHAI today. The other one was "Gossip to Honolulu" that chronicles Smith's Transpacific Race effort with his yacht 48' Gossip in 1951 (if memory serves).
