| Title | Pump (Vodovzvodnaya) Tower in the Mocow Kremlin |
| Notes | Built in 1488 by the architect Anton Fryazin, the Pump Tower is a corner tower situated upstream of the Moskva River at the mouth of the Neglinnaya River. Since it stood near the household of the prominent Sviblov boyars, it was originally called Sviblov Tower. In 1632 a water pump was installed into the tower pumping water of the Neglinnaya River through lead pipes to the upper Kremlin Gardens. This was Moscow's first water conduit, and since that time the tower has been called the PumpTower. The tent roof was added in the1680s. The height of the tower (including the star) is 61.25 meters. |
