TitleProkhorov Chapel in the Novodevichy Convent in Moscow, with the Cathedral of the Virgin of Smolensk in the background
NotesThe Prokhorov Chapel was built in 1911. The Cathedral of the Virgin of Smolensk was designed by the architect Aristotele Fieravanti and built in 1524-1525. The prototype of this cathedral was the Moscow Cathedral of the Assumption, a fact which is evident in the similar division of the walls into vertical sections, in the cathedral's five domes, and in other details.
