| Notes | The Narva Triumphal Arch was built out of wood by the architect Giacomo Quarenghi in 1814. In 1827-28 the first wooden arch was substituted by a metal and stone structure designed by the architect V. Stasov. The Arch was built to commemorate the victory of the Russian Army in the Napoleonic war of 1812. The sculpture decorating the arch was fashioned by the sculptors P. Klodt, Demut-Malinovskii and S.
