| Notes | The monument is decorated with high reliefs depicting famous people in Siberian history: the 16th century conquer of Siberia, Ermak, and the 19th century statesmen and governors of Siberia, Speransky and Muravyov-Amursky. Erected in 1964 by V. Shmatov, the obelisk was placed on the base of a monument to Alexander III created by R. Bakh and dedicated in 1908, but subsequently removed by the Soviets, in 1920. |
