DescriptionA wooden gong stand made from Northwest big leaf maple and douglas fir for the Gamelan Siwa Nada ensemble. This large stand is built to hold a single, bossed gong (the gong in this case is part of the University of Washington Kulintang ensemble). A simple square, wooden frame made of douglas fir is held together with a large slab of big leaf maple at the base and another piece of maple at the top.
