Descriptive NotesLoring: pulled paste paper.

This paste paper is mostly likely created by covering a piece of paper with a colored paste. Then another piece of paper would be laid down on top of it and they would be pressed slightly together. As the papers are being pulled apart from one another branching veins appear, characteristic of this type of paste paper.

The primary color for this example is dark teal.

Collection NotesThis sample is scanned from a book cover.

This book cover is a printer's waste sheet which was then decorated with paste and used to bind the text block.
