This pattern is created starting with a Wide comb base, probably where the colors were dropped onto the bath sequentially. Once the desired base pattern is completed either an individual stylus or a comb with one set of teeth set in very wide intervals would be inserted into the bath and swirled.

The primary colors for this sample are red, medium and dark blue, yellow ochre and white.
